Arrival for an afternoon excursion in Kakunodate.
Don't forget the station sign.
The station area is looking nice and quiet.
Nice decoration at a flower shop.
The sun gets the roof and leafs to shine very nicely.
Entrance to the first samurai house TBD.
Autumn is the nicest of the four seasons in my opinion.
This well would look less attractive without the nice leafs.
These window shades should keep off even the worst snow storm.
After the short rain all the colors look even brighter.
View into one of the samurai villas.
Colorful autumn leafs.
The forrest shines in the afternoon sun.
You see a lot of those intense red autumn leafs.
I am sure you can easily relax with this great view in the garden.
And another brilliant maple tree.
Most of the trees are kept behind those tall fences.
Some of the trees show all the possible leaf colors at the same time.
This looks almost good enough for a Mercedes leaflet.
Red leaf detail.
Those samurai villas are not really small.
The autumn leafs in the garden have already been collected.
You find those roof types as well in Japan.
A very nice red tree.
Next to a nice yellow tree.
Both trees have a great looking contrast.
Such a tall and high pine tree is hard to find, at least standalone.
And once more looking along the street.
This house is already prepared for winter.
The trees will be protected from the snow by planks on those ropes.
Back at the small station of Kakunodate.
It's surprising that the shinkansen trains stop at such a small village.
